Thank you to the many of you who attended our Open House last Saturday. We were gratified that close to 50 folks streamed in to see the many improvements at Camp Pinnacle, meet Ben, Cait, Dock and Jane and begin making friends for the incredible summer ahead. Campers came from Virginia, Georgia, and North and South Carolina for the day. Besides Camp Tours, kids played a great game of GAGA ball and a few who stayed late did a little bit of kayaking, paddle boarding and even took a few trips down the new water slide! It’s only two months until the first session starts – we have already completed many preparations and we are excited about all we still plan to accomplish before you arrive on opening day!
Traveling from 4 states for an Open House pales to the distances campers will travel to attend Camp Pinnacle this summer. We will have campers coming from as far west as Oregon, as far North as Massachusetts, and as far South as Ecuador with many states in between.
We still have spaces remaining in both camp sessions though Boy’s Session 1 is nearly full.
It’s a pretty typical day in our camp world today. Six new youth sized paddle boards just arrived and two more campers just signed up! This week, we began construction on new decks for the cabins; we are also refinishing dining rooms floors and reviving the camp Putt Putt Course! Tomorrow we will finalize many of the details for counselor training / orientation and continue the planning process for our thirty different exciting in camp activities.
We can’t wait for camp to get here and see you! We are working hard to make it the highlight of your year. See you soon!
