Please join us in giving the warmest Camp Pinnacle welcome to Amanda, our new Hillside Director!

Amanda credits her summers at camp as some of the most formative experiences of her life, the place where she learned confidence, connection, and what it means to belong. She is thrilled to now help create that same sense of magic and meaning for Pinnacle’s campers, staff, and families.

Amanda grew up at an adventure-based summer camp in her home state of Arkansas, spending eight summers as a camper and six more as a counselor and staff support member. She has been a Red Cross-certified lifeguard and a certified high-ropes instructor since 2014. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Business and her master’s degree in Accounting from Rhodes College, Amanda began her professional career in corporate audit and finance at Ernst & Young. But camp never left her heart. Before long, she felt called back to the work she loves most – investing in young people and the communities that help them grow.

She joins Camp Pinnacle after three years as Assistant Director at a premier Texas summer camp, where she led accounting, camper registration, and cabin placement during a period of significant growth. Along the way, Amanda became known for her thoughtful staff mentorship, creative and meaningful program design, and exceptional care for families.

Amanda believes deeply in the power of camp to change lives. She is passionate about helping both campers and staff grow in confidence, character, and leadership, and she is especially excited to continue Camp Pinnacle’s intentional focus on the 5-R’s while celebrating the fun, laughter, and everyday moments that make camp unforgettable.

Outside of camp, Amanda loves hiking, weekly trivia nights, and exploring her new home in Western North Carolina. She can’t wait to meet our community and help make this summer truly special.

We are so grateful she’s here.
