After a busy and exciting week of camp activities, Saturday brought a welcome change of pace and a day packed with special events, creative activities, and plenty of opportunities for campers to connect, explore, and have fun together.
The morning began with a well-earned treat for everyone: a late wake-up! The bell rang at 8:30 a.m., giving campers and staff alike some extra time to rest and recharge. Summer camp days are full of activity from sunrise to sunset, so the additional sleep was a wonderful way to help everyone recover from a busy week and prepare for the exciting day ahead. Around camp, there were plenty of happy faces as campers enjoyed a slower start to their morning routines.
The breakfast bell rang at 9:15 a.m., and campers headed to the dining hall for a delicious breakfast of home fries, scrambled eggs, and pain au chocolats. As always, our incredible kitchen team did a fantastic job making sure every camper could enjoy their meal safely and comfortably. We are fortunate to have chefs who are highly experienced in supporting a wide range of dietary needs and allergies. Whether campers require gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or other specialized meals, our dedicated allergy and dietary specialist chef works hard behind the scenes to ensure everyone feels included and well cared for at every meal.
Following breakfast, the entire camp gathered in the Shadium for one of our brand-new weekend special events: Kreko’s Musical Morning! Organized by our energetic event coordinators, Krithi and Neko, the event quickly transformed into a camp-wide celebration of music, creativity, and self-expression.

The centerpiece of the morning was Club Pinnacle, a huge dance party held in the gym. Music filled the building as campers danced, laughed, and sang along with friends old and new. Around camp, there were plenty of additional activities to enjoy. Campers cooled off with fresh lemonade on the ball field, showed off their creativity through face painting, experimented with songwriting, and embraced the festive atmosphere with plenty of colorful and funky flair. It was one of those mornings where every corner of camp seemed to be buzzing with excitement and positive energy.

By lunchtime, campers had certainly worked up an appetite. The dining hall served chinese-marinated chicken, white rice, stir-fried vegetables, and fresh grapes, providing a healthy and satisfying meal after such an active morning.
One of the sweetest moments of the day came immediately after lunch. Cabins that had earned all check pluses for their chores and cabin responsibilities received a special reward: ice cream sandwiches at the picnic benches. It was wonderful to celebrate the hard work, teamwork, and responsibility shown by these campers throughout the week. The smiles on display suggested the reward was very well received!
After lunch, campers enjoyed some much-needed downtime. Following a morning of dancing and excitement, the quieter period gave everyone a chance to relax, spend time with cabinmates, read, write letters home, or simply recharge before the afternoon’s adventures.
The afternoon featured one of the most anticipated parts of the camp schedule: C-Days! C-Days provide campers with the opportunity to independently choose from a wide variety of unique activities taking place across camp. These sessions encourage campers to explore new interests, challenge themselves, and connect with peers outside their usual groups.
Today’s offerings showcased the incredible variety available at camp. Campers could participate in a Junior Noodle People Training Class, test their skills in the Disc Golf Patch Challenge, find balance during Paddleboard Yoga, create imaginative crafts in Feltastic Creations, or head to the Nature Treehouse for a fascinating Salamander Search. One of the most rewarding aspects of C-Day is seeing campers step outside their comfort zones, discover new passions, and build friendships with campers they may not otherwise meet.

Following a refreshing fruit break in the Shadium, campers headed to Gym and Swim, providing the perfect opportunity to cool off, stay active, and unwind before dinner.

Dinner was a cosy chicken pot pie with warm biscuits and roasted vegetables. The dining hall was filled with lively conversation as campers shared stories from their C-Day adventures and looked forward to the evening ahead.
For the Evening Programs tonight, our oldest cohorts participated in ‘Sqwar Dance’, a fun and energetic western-inspired line dancing event that had the gym full of movement, laughter, and teamwork. Meanwhile, our younger cohorts took part in Cat Flags, an action-packed game where teams worked together to protect their territory while trying to capture the fluffy toy cat for their team. Both activities encouraged cooperation, problem-solving, and plenty of camp spirit.

As the evening drew to a close, campers gathered for their cabin evening circles, taking time to reflect on the day’s highlights, celebrate friendships, and share moments that made them smile. After a day filled with music, dancing, creativity, exploration, and unforgettable memories, campers headed back to their cabins for lights out, ready for a well-deserved night’s sleep.
Saturday perfectly captured the magic of camp: trying new things, building friendships, celebrating accomplishments, and creating memories that will last long after the summer ends. We are already excited to see what adventures tomorrow will bring!
