Happy Sunday from Camp Pinnacle!
The morning began with another gentle late wake-up at 8:30 a.m., giving everyone a little extra rest before another exciting day. Campers headed to breakfast in their pajamas at 9:15, making for one of the coziest meals of the week. The dining hall was filled with sleepy smiles as everyone enjoyed sausages, scrambled eggs, cheesy hashbrowns, fresh fruit, granola, and plenty of fun cereal before heading back to their cabins to get ready for the morning.
At 10:30, campers spread out across camp for a variety of relaxed Sunday activities. Some settled into the gym to watch cartoons with friends, while others took advantage of the cooler weather with a peaceful morning swim at the waterfront. Yoga by the lake offered a calm start to the day, while Sunday Bike Club and Morning Jog Club got everyone moving outdoors. Others enjoyed a slower pace with Books and Bracelets on the dining hall porch, creating friendship bracelets while reading together, and some campers headed out onto the water for Tiny Boat Paddle adventures. With cooler temperatures throughout the morning, many campers also enjoyed simply relaxing together in the gym, chatting, playing games, and making the most of a quieter Sunday.

Before lunch, the entire camp came together in the Shadium for one of Camp Pinnacle’s important weekly traditions: All Camp Clean Up. Every cabin was assigned an area to help care for, from the lodge and waterfront to the council ring, sorting lost and found, or sweeping pathways for litter. Taking pride in camp is something we value deeply, and campers work together as a team to help keep Pinnacle looking beautiful for everyone. It’s another opportunity for responsibility, teamwork, and community to shine through.
Lunch was served at 12:30 and featured hearty bowls of chili topped with cheese and sour cream, homemade chips, juicy pineapple chunks, and the always-popular salad bar. During lunch, another exciting tradition took place as campers were recognized for earning activity patches. Whether they had mastered Tiny Boats, achieved goals in Athletics, or demonstrated impressive skills in Target Sports, there were plenty of proud smiles around the dining hall as campers celebrated one another’s accomplishments.

After a little downtime to relax, cabins gathered once again at 2:15 in the Shadium before heading off for this afternoon’s C-Day activities. One of the best parts of C-Day is that campers choose activities simply because they sound fun, giving them the chance to discover new hobbies alongside friends from all over camp. This afternoon offered an incredible variety of choices including Flag Football, Bikes and Kites, Watercolor SUPs, Line Dancing, Metal Spoon Ring making, Archery Golf, and many more creative and adventurous options. As the afternoon went on, the sunshine returned, making it the perfect backdrop for another unforgettable afternoon around camp.

At 5:30, everyone met in the gym for fruit break, enjoying fresh apples and oranges before jumping into Gym and Swim at 5:35. Whether campers chose to cool off in the lake or play games inside the gym, it was another chance to burn off some energy before dinner.
Dinner brought a comforting Southern-style feast with crispy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and buttered sweet corn—a satisfying meal after such a busy afternoon.

The evening wrapped up with one of Sunday’s most energetic programs: Rainbow Run. Counselors each represented a different color, and campers raced all around camp searching for every color of the rainbow in a giant scavenger hunt. The excitement, teamwork, and laughter could be heard across camp as cabins worked together to complete the challenge.

Before heading to bed, campers gathered with their cabins for Evening Circles, one of the most meaningful traditions at Camp Pinnacle. Whether sitting beside the lake, under the trees, outside their cabins, or gathered somewhere else around camp, each cabin took a few quiet moments to reflect on the day’s adventures, celebrate small victories, and share what they were thankful for. These conversations often become some of the moments campers treasure most, strengthening friendships and helping everyone feel connected before another exciting day begins.
With lights out at 9:45, camp settled into a peaceful evening. After a day filled with relaxation, adventure, creativity, and time together, campers drifted off to sleep ready for everything that the new week at Camp Pinnacle has in store.
