Session 1: June 25, 2026

Today marked the final official day of Session One, and what a day it was! From exciting competitions to cherished traditions and heartfelt goodbyes, campers experienced one last full day together before tomorrow’s Closing Day.

The wake-up bell rang at 7:30 a.m., and campers started their morning by cleaning their cabins one final time. After breakfast at 8:15 a.m.—featuring ham and cheese croissants, sausages, home fries, Greek yogurt, and fresh fruit—campers completed evaluations reflecting on their time at camp. Their feedback helps us continue creating the best possible experience for future campers.

At 9:00 a.m camp gathered for a special ‘Silent Lakeside’. Along with a peaceful morning reflection, campers also participated in our ‘Silent Lost & Found Auction’, giving unclaimed items one final chance to find their owner. Afterward, campers competed in Color Captain Challenges before gathering with their color teams for one last hype circle in preparation for one of camp’s most anticipated traditions: The Pinnacle Cup!

The Pinnacle Cup is a long-standing camp tradition with a rich history that has been passed down through generations of campers. At 10:00 a.m., the entire camp spread out across campus for the annual relay, where every camper plays an important role. Teams raced through exciting challenges including a muffin-eating contest, a swimming race, a slip-and-slide race across the front lawn, passing hula hoops down a team line, and popping balloons at riflery.

Once every challenge was complete, the entire camp gathered in the Council Ring for one of the most exciting moments of the week. Each color team assembled for roll call while designated fire builders worked together to build a fire tall enough to burn through a suspended rope. Throughout the event, teammates filled the Council Ring with cheers, chants, and songs, creating an unforgettable atmosphere full of excitement and school spirit.

When the first rope finally burned through, the celebration began—but the competition wasn’t over just yet. The Pinnacle Cup winner isn’t determined solely by the relay. Camp leadership also considers each team’s performance throughout the week, including sportsmanship, teamwork, participation, and enthusiasm. This year’s Pinnacle Cup champions were the Blue Team! Congratulations to everyone who competed with such incredible energy and heart. To celebrate, all of the Color Captains and Lieutenants took the traditional jump into the lake before the entire camp gathered to sing together, celebrating fun, friendship, and another unforgettable summer.

Around noon, campers returned to their cabins to begin packing for tomorrow’s departure. Our Wolfepack campers enjoyed a special waterfront pizza party for lunch, while the rest of camp enjoyed a lunch of greek inspired food. Final activity patches were awarded, and cabins that earned Check Pluses all week were treated to well-deserved ice cream sundaes! The afternoon included downtime, finishing laundry, packing up Funky Flair, and making sure everything was neatly organized with the help of our counselors.

At 2:30 p.m., campers headed to one last Mountain Beach Party. They soaked up the sunshine while paddleboarding, swinging into the lake on the rope swing, playing volleyball, and enjoying their final turns on the Blob. Following a refreshing fruit break, everyone pitched in for ‘All Camp Clean’ before gathering for final cabin photos to capture these last moments together.

Dinner was a special cookout served on the lawn, featuring brisket, ribs, baked beans, potato salad, fresh watermelon, and ice cream for dessert. It was the perfect opportunity for campers and staff to enjoy one final meal together under the evening sun.

As the day came to a close, everyone gathered for our Closing Campfire—one of the most meaningful traditions of the summer. Campers received gifts recognizing each year they have attended camp, celebrating their growth and commitment to our community. Three-year campers were presented with their camp-branded paddle, while our remarkable eleven-year campers received personalized engraved staff honoring their incredible journey through camp. Wolfepack campers also shared the mission statements they developed during their leadership experience. The evening was filled with songs, laughter, hugs, and, of course, plenty of happy tears as campers reflected on the friendships, challenges, and memories that made Session One so special.

Lights were out by 9:45 p.m. as everyone settled in for one final night’s sleep at camp. Tomorrow is Closing Day, when families will reunite with campers who are returning home with new skills, stronger confidence, lifelong friendships, and memories they’ll treasure for years to come.

We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!
